While a weak disturbance may introduce mid-level clouds and a few sprinkles in central and eastern regions, dry low-level air will likely evaporate most precipitation before it reaches the ground.

Possible Outcomes
Weather forecasting involves uncertainty. Below are two scenarios representing the range of possible outcomes: the "Boom" scenario shows the worst-case/highest-impact result if conditions align unfavorably, while the "Bust" scenario shows the best-case/lowest-impact result if the forecast doesn't materialize as expected.
The 'Boom' Scenario
The ridge maximizes its potential with full solar insolation, pushing temperatures to 101-102 degrees in urban corridors like Louisville and the Purchase region, while mid-level moisture remains too thin to provide even temporary shade.
The 'Bust' Scenario
The weak mid-level disturbance produces widespread cloud cover by midday, capping temperatures in the low 90s and allowing for scattered light showers to actually overcome the dry air and wet the pavement.

Why GFS Wins
With surface temperatures in the upper 90s and a 594dm ridge overhead, the capping inversion and low-level dry air are too formidable. The GFS logic of a dry boundary layer is more physically consistent for this setup.
